The American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry both recommend that every child have a dental screening by age 1 or when their first tooth erupts (whichever comes first.) These early visits serve multiple purposes, including:
When you arrive, our front office team will meet with you to get you checked in, fill out any necessary paperwork, and answer any questions you may have.
After we finish processing your information, we’ll escort you to our clinical area where you’ll meet Dr. Hu and then work with our assistant or hygienist. After a few moments and any cleanings or X-rays, Dr. Hu will come back to perform a thorough examination and discuss any findings or treatments that are necessary.
Some of the things Dr. Hu will want to check for include:
If your child does require care, Dr. Hu can walk you through the process and discuss options, such as sedation, to keep your little one comfortable. Our care team will also review an itemized treatment plan that lists each procedure and applicable fees.
Our goal is to provide prevention-based strategies that reduce your child’s need for treatment in the future. To do so, Dr. Hu suggests a checkup every six months, regardless of your child’s age.
Little Grins Pediatric Dentistry in Glendora offers in-house membership plans for our patients without dental coverage. We also accept most PPO benefit packages and have 3rd party financing available.
